Mr. Rajesh Tripathi is an Indian politician, BJP MLA and a member of 18th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh representing Chillupar Vidhan Sabha. He has been elected as an MLA for the 3rd time from the Chillupar Constituency. Mr. Rajesh Trpathi graduated in 1985 from Deen Dayal Upadhyaya University, Gorakhpur and started his career in Journalism. He is popular in his Constituency as Muktipath Baba for the development of Mukti Path on the banks of river Saryu in Barhalganj. He became a popular leader in the UP State after defeating the Bahubali candidate of Purvanchal, Harishankar Tiwari. Rajesh Tripathi had formally served as Minister of Charitable Affairs and Homeopath Department in UP Govt.
Chillupar is one of five assembly constituencies in the Bansgaon Lok Sabha constituency. Since 2008, this assembly constituency is numbered 328 amongst 403 constituencies.
Rajesh Tripathi won the 2022 Vidhan Sabha from Chillupar with a total of 96,777 votes. He defeated his nearest competitor Vinay Shankar Tiwari of SP who received 75,132 with a margin of 21,645. Chillupar is now famous more for Mukti Path and Muktipath Baba who developed it.
The tide of Public Aspiration started in 2003, 4 years before the start of the actual Political Journey. People reached out to me with their problems and concerns. They belief that they carried while raising their issues, made me feel accountable to help and resolve them.
I took that responsibility and raised my voice strongly against Hari Shankar Tiwari. This is very beginning of my un-official Political Journey.
Rajesh Tripathi finally started his Official Political journey with Bahujan Samaj Party in the very first week of January 2007. The year was in actual the pioneer of the Great Political transformation in Chillupar. From first political staging (15 Jan, 2007) to contesting the first Vidhan Sabha Elections (8 May 2007), Rajesh Tripathi wiped the 23 years long reign of Ex-MLA Harishankar Tiwari (Bahubali of Purvanchal) by a margin of 6500 votes. Also, he took the oath of as Minister of State in the Government of Uttar Pradesh (13 May 2007)

Rajesh Tripathi worked for the beautification and expansion of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dwadashjotirlinga. Firstt time in 500 years, the ruins of the adjacent temples, dilapidated buildings, were bought by the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust and bought new temples and Kashi Vishwanath.

After the recommendation of the Lokayukta by the Lokayukta, the Governor will have to choose one of the posts of Muktipath or the post of minister, then the election of Muktipath by abandoning the minister.
In the new assembly formed by merging Dhuriapar Chillupar, BSP candidate got 62 thousand votes and won over SP candidate Shri CP Chand by 12 thousand votes. Bharatiya Janata Party membership in 2016 on the suggestion of Yogi Adityanath.
Chillupar candidate from Bharatiya Janata Party was defeated by about 3200 votes.
again candidate from Bharatiya Janata Party in Chillupar, got 97 thousand votes and won over nearest rival Vinayshankar Tiwari of SP by about 22000 votes.
In 2001, Rajesh Tripathi laid the foundation of Mukti Path (मोक्ष का राह). The idea behind was to build the concept of a decontamination of a site known as an ugly, disorganized and indecent cremation. He, with a group of 20 youth leaders across the constituency visited door to door to beg for funds for the development of Mukti Path, which has now became a one of it's kind classic and timeless formation.
The foundation stone of this Muktipath was laid on 3 September 2001 by Bharat Ratna awardee Shri Nana Ji Deshmukh. Nana Ji Deshmukh, a prominent social worker Jana Sangh and the founder of Saraswati Shishu Mandir chain in the country.
Later, then Gorakshpithadhishwar Mahant Avaid Nath, the then Gorakshpitha Succession MP, the current Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the former Chief Minister Shri Kalyan Singh, the Health Minister of Mauritius, Shri Jagdish Govardhan, Green Oscar recipient and eminent environmentalist and currently the Brand Ambassador of Eco Tourism Uttar Pradesh, Shri Mike H Pandey, Mr. Si Chak Moon, Ambassador of Singapore, Renowned Film Actor and MP Mr. Manoj TiwariMLA, Divisional Commissioner, District Magistrate, Inspector General of Police, Senior Superintendent of Police, District Judge, Saint Mahatma, Story Reader, Scientist, Social Worker, by giving suggestions, cooperating with plantation on Muktipath which boosted the development of Mukti Path as a famous tourist place.
